ACKNOWLEDGEMENT, WAIVER, & RELEASE FROM LIABILITY (AWRL)

 

In applying to enter the Surf For The Sea on September 9 & 10, 2023 at North Jetty - Oceanside Harbor, I promise to inspect the contest site and assure myself that the area is safe and further agree that I will not surf in the contest unless I am satisfied that the area and conditions are safe for surfing purposes. I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the event.

In consideration of your acceptance of my entry, I, intending to be legally bound, hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, hold harmless and release the Surfrider Foundation and the family and friends of Harry Bennett, Carolyn Krammer, the City of Oceanside, and or all sponsors, their representatives, successors and assigns, the County of San Diego, the State of California, Surf for the Sea and any officials connected with this competition from liability for injury and/or damages whatsoever, arising from my participation or presence at this competition.

I hereby freely and knowingly grant my full consent and release to the Sponsors and Agents thereof for usage of all photographs, video tape, or motion film productions for the purpose of media exposure.

I acknowledge that I have read and understood the above.
